This week on Three Kitchens Speakeasy, Heather's sharing a cocktail recipe that she's modified from the original and turned into something delicious.

Cool as a Cucumber is made with muddled cucumber, mint and simple syrup with gin and a dash of soda. She found the inspiration from a cocktail book called Pour Me Another (J.M. Hirsch). This book is full of cocktails with fun names that Sarah and Erin can't help but dissect and poke fun at. Join us for some good laughs and a great drink.

We watched the Netflix Christmas movie Falling For Christmas and asked all the important questions; Is being formulaic bad? Is everything a historical landmark? Is Lindsay Lohan in an infomercial? Have we seen this movie before? Is Tad in the same movie? Is there a back garden? Did we love this movie?

Falling for Christmas is a 2022 American Christmas romantic comedy film directed by Janeen Damian, in her directorial debut, from a screenplay by Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver. The film stars Lindsay Lohan, with Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner and Olivia Perez appearing in supporting roles. Lohan plays a spoiled heiress who loses her memory in a skiing accident and lands in the care of a lodge owner widower (Overstreet) at Christmastime.

It marked Lohan's first role in a major production in over a decade following a series of career setbacks while recovering from addiction and legal issues. Brad Krevoy and Michael Damian serve as producers on the film, which was first announced in May 2021. It began filming in Utah in early November 2021 and wrapped the following month. Lohan, her sister Aliana and Overstreet recorded songs for the project which were also featured in a soundtrack album.

The film was released on November 10, 2022, by Netflix, after a screening event for fans, hosted by the cast and crew, was held in New York City the day before. Falling for Christmas received generally mixed reviews from critics, who mostly found the story to be formulaic and clichéd but praised Lohan's acting return and on-screen presence. It had one of the best opening weekends for a Netflix original movie in 2022 on the streaming service.

A movie where a jerk must first become an officer before becoming a gentleman. Kyle just wants to be picked up and carried somewhere. Dave just wants to yell at people. The Machine just wants to hum the song at the end.

We can't seem to get enough of these vintage recipes here at Three Kitchens Podcast. This week, we've got Plum Cake with Streusel, a family recipe from Erin's Oma.

In baking and pastry making, streusel is a crumbly topping of flour, butter, and sugar that is baked on top of muffins, breads, pies, and cakes. In this recipe, the cake is topped with plums and streusel. It's not too sweet, perfect for dessert or tea time with Oma.

Substitute just about any fruit of your choice with this cake and make it a recipe to hand down through your own family. We guarantee everyone will want the recipe, and a second slice of this cake.

Kids movies! Fun light-hearted cinema full of catchy songs that get stuck in your head when your kid plays them over and over and over and sings along with them so loudly you can't think straight and you start to think "is this what losing my mind is like?" but no you haven't lost your mind because it is in fact your soul that is sinking into the inky black abyss with each repetition of the horrid whalings of a broadway singer turned accursed voice actor whose unwanted melodic tones trespass through your ears like those worms from Wrath of KHAAAAAAAAAANN!!!!

Anyway, we rewrote Frozen. Enjoy.
